Applicants should be comfortable driving with all kinds of road and weather conditions across Western Canada, including demonstrated experience with off road and winter driving. Deliveries depart from Nisku and may deliver to sites in Alberta or British Columbia.

Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (Edmonton) - Full-time

Rene Transport is looking for one full-time Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team.

We are a trucking company offering tractor service to destinations across Western Canada. Our in-house team of mechanics and apprentices service an assortment of trucks, chassis and trailers from an on-site service shop in Nisku. We have a young, dynamic crew and are searching for the right candidate to join our team.

Candidates for this position will be working closely with our shop foreman and management, and need to demonstrate both the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Clear communication skills (both written and verbal) are important, as our team works staggered shifts to provide full time service coverage for our fleet. A class 3 license would be considered an asset, but is not necessary.

Key qualifications include:

  • working knowledge of detroit 60-series and DD15's

  • recognized journeyman mechanic certificate

  • valid class 5 operators license; class 3 would be considered an asset

This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of pay. Our ideal candidate would work a Sunday - Thursday day shift. Starting wage is negotiable based on experience. We offer health benefits and optional group RRSP contributions after 3 months.

Rene Transport is looking for a temporary shunt truck driver to work at a large distribution centre in southeast Calgary.

Applicants can expect to be working up to 40 hours per week until our client's busy season is complete. While this is a temporary position, there is potential for this to develop into a permanent full-time position.

Class 1 Shunt Truck Driver (Calgary) - Part-time

Rene Transport is looking for a shunt truck operator to work at a large distribution center in southeast Calgary. Applicants will require a valid class 1 license, and experience working with CP would be considered an asset.

The shift is Saturday from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Opportunities will depend on the needs of our business at any given time.

Rene Transport strives to find the best fit for any given position. It's not only about finding the candidate that will work for our needs, but finding a position that will work for your needs. Our goal for the hiring process is to find somebody that will enjoy their work and thrive at our company. With this in mind, the process is as follows:

  1. Submit your resume and commercial vehicle driver abstract to us by fax or email.

  2. Your resume will be reviewed by our Human Resources staff.

  3. We will call potential candidates for a phone interview. We thank all interested applicants, but only suitable candidates will be contacted.

  4. We will decide on the most suitable candidates and bring them in for an in-person interview.

  5. Potential candidates will be road tested.

  6. A reference check will then be conducted on these candidates.

  7. A police clearance will be requested from the candidate.

  8. If all previous steps have been successful, an offer of employment will be made.
