Dispatcher (Edmonton) - Full-time

Rene Transport is seeking a dispatcher to work at our head office.

This person will be responsible for coordinating deliveries so that our customers’ needs are met. They will need to schedule drivers and truck usage to ensure efficient utilization of our resources. The position involves both answering incoming calls and communicating information to drivers and clients. They will also deal with data entry and manipulation, as well as communicating this information to the appropriate parties.

This is a full-time position with an on-call component. Hours of work will be from 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday. The candidate will be expected to take turns with our other management staff to man the after-hours cell phone.

Qualifications include:

Class 1 Temporary Part-time Shunt Truck Driver (Calgary) - Temporary Part-time

Rene Transport is looking for a shunt truck driver to work at a large distribution centre in southeast Calgary.

Applicants can expect to work one 8 hour shift per week until our client's busy season is complete. The ideal candidate will be available on Friday and/or Saturday, as we are looking to staff this shift on one of these days.

Class 1 Temporary Full-time Shunt Truck Driver (Calgary) - Temporary Full-time

Rene Transport is looking for a temporary shunt truck driver to work at a large distribution centre in southeast Calgary.

Applicants can expect to be working up to 40 hours per week until our client's busy season is complete. While this is a temporary position, there is potential for this to develop into a permanent full-time position.

Class 1 Truck Driver for Summer Project (Edmonton) - Temporary Full-time

Are you looking for an opportunity to make good money doing Class 1 driving throughout Western Canada this summer?

Rene Transport is looking for experienced class 1 drivers to fill positions hauling Super B trailers. This is a temporary position for approximately 4 months beginning in May, with potential for permanent employment once this period ends. Applicants should be comfortable driving with all kinds of road and weather conditions across Western Canada, including demonstrated experience with mountain driving. Deliveries depart from Slave Lake and deliver primarily throughout Alberta, with some deliveries in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

Rene Transport is looking for an experienced class 1 driver to fill a city/short haul driving position. This position involves delivering and picking up trailers within Edmonton and the province of Alberta. Drivers must be comfortable hauling a variety of loads, including flat decks, vans and containers.

  • able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • no education required
  • experience in trucking/flat deck work is an asset

Rene Transport is looking for experienced class 1 drivers to fill our long-haul driving positions. Applicants should be comfortable driving with all kinds of road and weather conditions across Western Canada, including demonstrated experience with both mountain and winter driving. Deliveries depart from Edmonton and may deliver to British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan or the Territories.

Hiring Process

With this in mind, the process is as follows:

  5. Potential candidates will be road tested.
  6. A reference check will then be conducted on these candidates.
  7. A police clearance will be requested from the candidate.
