Rene Transport is looking for an experienced class 1 driver to fill a LCV short-haul driving position. This position involves delivering and picking up sets of trailers within the province of Alberta and runs 4 nights per week.

Qualifications include:

Administrator (Edmonton) - Part-time

Rene Transport is seeking a part-time administrator to work at our head office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties, both independently and as part of a team. These include processing payables and receivables, in addition to other administrative duties as required.

This is a temporary position from August 2019 to May 2020, with potential for permanent employment once this period ends. Hours of work will be from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, on two consecutive weekdays per week (to be determined).

Qualifications include:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of Quick Books, Ceridian, and Axon software considered an asset

  • Experience in transportation industry considered an asset.


Class 1 Spare Shunt Truck Driver (Calgary) - Part-time

Rene Transport is looking for spare shunt truck operators to work at a large distribution center in southeast Calgary. Applicants will require a valid class 1 license, and experience working with CP would be considered an asset.

Applicants must have availability during the day (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM), or overnight (8:00 PM - 6:00 AM). There are several variable shifts that may fall between these hours. Opportunities will depend on the needs of our business at any given time.

Hiring Process

Rene Transport strives to find the best fit for any given position. It's not only about finding the candidate that will work for our needs, but finding a position that will work for your needs. Our goal for the hiring process is to find somebody that will enjoy their work and thrive at our company. With this in mind, the process is as follows:

  1. Submit your resume and commercial vehicle driver abstract to us by fax or email.

  2. Your resume will be reviewed by our Human Resources staff.

  3. We will call potential candidates for a phone interview. We thank all interested applicants, but only suitable candidates will be contacted.

  4. We will decide on the most suitable candidates and bring them in for an in-person interview.

  5. Potential candidates will be road tested.

  6. A reference check will then be conducted on these candidates.

  7. A police clearance will be requested from the candidate.
